Matt Menendez is a California-based designer, artist, and creative leader working across architecture, computational design, and emerging media. With two decades of experience, he connects creative exploration with the technical judgment needed to bring ambitious ideas into built form.

His work spans sports and entertainment venues, civic facilities, retail environments, and animal care projects. He has also led firmwide AI research and strategy, developed computational and BIM workflows, and shared his perspective through industry presentations and AIA panels.

Across architectural projects and independent art, Matt explores how form, light, material, and movement shape perception and emotion. His practice considers space as something felt as well as occupied—a medium for memory, connection, and discovery. Working through digital fabrication, animation, and mixed reality, he investigates these ideas across physical and digital environments. His artwork has been exhibited internationally, including at SXSW in Austin, Art Basel in Switzerland, Valencia in Spain, Tehran in Iran, and Lisbon in Portugal.

Matt holds a Bachelor in Architecture from The Ohio State University and a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc).
